Since 1995, the Women’s Foundation for a Greater Memphis has been bringing the community together to break the cycle of poverty, making Memphis a better place for everyone.
The Annual Tribute Luncheon is WFGM’s flagship fundraising event, bringing together more than 1,300 leaders from Memphis’ business, civic, nonprofit, and philanthropic communities to recognize the impact of our investments and the collective work of our their partners driving change across the city.
Award-winning journalist, philanthropist, and producer Soledad O’Brien will be the keynote speaker for the 2026 Annual Tribute Luncheon.
Through the PowHERful Foundation, which she co-founded with her husband Brad Raymond, O’Brien expands access to higher education for young women from underserved communities through scholarships, mentorship, and critical support. Her commitment to investing early, boldly, and together closely reflects the Women’s Foundation’s approach to driving impact for women and families.
As founder of Soledad O’Brien Productions, she has led powerful documentaries that amplify underrepresented voices and confront complex social issues. Her work has earned ten Emmy Awards, three Peabody Awards, and Academy Award nominations for The Perfect Neighbor and The Devil Is Busy — underscoring her dedication to justice, accountability, and human dignity.
